Why? It's simply a fact: there have been countless prophecies of a
coming apocalypse over the millenai, and they have - indeed - always
been proven wrong. There's nothing uncalled for about his statement in
the least. What might be considered as uncalled for is the injection
into a conversation about science of an insipid religiosity.
