We do not know if a post-mortem was performed. There is substantial
evidence indicating there was an inquest. But as far as I can tell, there
is no direct evidence pointing to a post-mortem. There were media reports
suggesting there was an autopsy, but all of them referred to the information
contained in the death certificate, not a post-mortem. A post-mortem,
inquest and death certificate are all different things. People, including
members of the media, confuse each of these items.

I still have a standing offer available for anyone who is from the area of
Bon's death. I will pay any fees, charges or costs related to securing
copies of the report[s] from the inquest. This may include transcripts,
findings of fact and/or conclusions. It is improbable that the post-mortem
would be included with these documents, even if one was performed.

My own opinion is that most of these documents are not available anymore,
(except the death certificate). I am not sure if they ever were. All of
the media reports I have reviewed either confuse issues or are clearly
hearsay of the worst kind.

that's how they knew. I

The public image of Bon was certainly that of someone who overdid it. Was
that in fact the case? Probably. Especially considering the circumstances
surrounding his death. But based on the info we have, I think it is highly
improbable that his body had sustained serious damage prior to the night of
his death.
