Stevie Ray Vaughn without a doubt. Unfortunately he died young (as so many great musicians have). If you get a chance to watch a video of him in concert it is worth the time. He was awesome.

I love B.B.king, Keb Mo, Robert cray for a clean sounding blues. But I Like dirty blues with Magic slim, Robert johnson, and some of the old timers. My personal favorite B.B.king! Stevie Ray is definately in my collection though.lol

You named some very good ones bluzchick. Srv is one of my favorites. I'm really partial to live material and have a lot of different versions of songs by him. Some others I would seriously recommend you research (especially live performances ofcourse) are:Luther Allison (VERY underappreciated artist)Jimi Hendrix (Probably SRV's greatest influence and one of the best bluesmen ever)Willie Dixon ( one of the greatest song writers ever, his songs were covered by muddy waters, Howlin' Wolf, led zeppelin, hendrix, SRV, and countless others)Little Milton (great story teller, a bit on the sappy side)Bryan Lee ( newer artist with a fantastic blues voice and a hell of a lot of showman ship)There are a lot more that I like but if you get a chance to listen to the ones I mentioned I think you'll be very happy. If you're interested in others that I like just shoot me an email. I think my addy is in my profile.
