Music Experts: What is the instrumentation of - 02-23-2007, 07:35 AM

Bob Dylans's Subterranean Homesick Blues song? Im no expert by FAR. so all I know is that there are lead vocals and a harmonica. So what else does he use? Electric guitar, electric bass, tamborine, etc?

I am only going by foggy memory, although this has always been one of my favorite Dylan songs.I am certain that this was before he went electric. And I am pretty sure it has just accoustic guitar, taborine and maybe some harmonica.I've always been too fixated on Alan ginsberg loitering in the background of this song in the movie Don't Look Back, to pay too much attention to the exact instrumentation. and I am so ticked that i dont have any dylan on my ipod right now to check it out.

He used an acoustic guitar on the original sound track of Subterranean Homesick blues. The thing is that album was released about the time he first encountered the group later named The Band and began his romance with electric sound.Yeah, if I remember correctly this album has Mr. Tambourine man on the record.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subterranean_Homesick_BluesThanks for the memories.
