Pop music is far more popular currently. This is because the vast majority of the population (at least in the U.S.) does not have an adequate education on the complexity of music and therefore is attracted to simple repeated melodies with lyrics they can relate to over intricate and subtle art made of sound.

I believe that pop music is more popular than classical music becuse pop music is widely acceptedand choosen amongest teens and young adults. Classical music, on the other hand, has a limitedaudeince-people over fourty years of age.
