Does anyone enjoy classical music anymore? - 02-22-2007, 02:47 AM

I'm the kind of person who enjoys many types of music, (excluding a few), but I see people today associate with only a few main types. So I was wondering if anybody can still enjoy a good classical piece, and admit itI'm actually a teenager, who enjoys classical music, as well play it

I hope that the people who attend my concerts on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons enjoy listening to classical music since that is what I perform.

there are people that do but it is not fashionable to say you do in public sadly. especially if you are a teenager or young adult.

I can't say I own any classical music. I usually enjoy it when I hear it though. I do, however, have a penchant for jazz. I've got a bunch of stuff like Glenn Miller and Nat King Cole in my collection. Most of my friends don't get my taste in music, I regret.

I also appreciate classical music and Opera. I did not get into classical until I became involved in band in middle school. It's good music to study to or fall asleep to. I occasionally attended Opera and classical concerts. You can "get lost" in it, and it becomes a non distracting background. People always think classical sucks, but that's only because they only heard crappy songs.

Unfortunately, I was never exposed to it until my 1st son was born and we got a baby Einstein toy that plays classical music. I still have that toy 13 years later. Its one of my favorites
