The best way to learn to sing is to find songs that you like that are simple and uncluttered and then just sing along until you start to hear the next note and also get the muscle memory in your throat/mouth/vocal cords to precisely hit that note.
Getting some advice from a teacher can't hurt, either, since there are good ways and bad ways to sing in terms of preserving your voice (avoiding nodes on your vocal cords).
