I don't want a bunch of pop singing over the music. Good, strong rhythms with a positiive feel to them.Some examples of stuff I already use: Gabrielle Roth, Professor Trance & The Energizers, Nomad.Both Amazon and Napster provide recommendations based on searches on stuff I already have, but I still feel like I'm jumping blindly if I buy any of the ideas that result.

A suggestion? If there is a song that you really like, but you want just the music without the lyrics being sung, check out some karaoke sites.As far as dance I only went as far as ballet, and there I used a lot of Enya and classical compositions.

for a first impression you can download a bunch of trance mixes for free. i think the mixes of DJ Doboy might meet your taste, especially the ones of the Trancequility series. i also like the ones of the Vocal Edition series.2 special mixes i can also recommend are the "helium" and the "hydrogen" mix (they are somewhere in the middle of the following site).http://www.djdoboy.com/mixes/downloads/the answerer above is right to mention DI.fm (i'm a listener of DI = digitally imported for several years now).
