I would have to agree with Tim that Jaco is the best jazz bassist, but i think that Mark Wingfield is probably my favorite jazz guitarist.

Stan Getz, Telonius Monk, Dave Brubeck, Les Luthiers, and all those that are considered as "classics". The reason is that I still haven't covered all of them and my approach to anything is to know as much of the bases of something to be informed, before I say "This I like, this I love, This I abhore, This I don't like" or any such opinion. Anyway, in Mexico City, where I live, we have only 1 radio station that plays this kind of music and I don't listen only to that one because I'm also fascinated by concert music, especially the one's included in the "impressionist era" from the 1910's to the II World War.
