music sound jazzy?(as in a jazz style?) eg waulking bass etc....? im doing arranging in higher music.... could anyone help?!?

I recommend making use of seventh chords, swinging eighth notes, rests and syncopation. Good luck.Use famous jazz works as inspiration!

i agree, make sure that the tones are lower than a regular melody also. there are a lot of bass tones and the melody is more about the beat than the actual tune

It's largely in the chords, too. Gotta spice things up with sevenths, ninths, and so on...

There's a teacher named Jerry Coker that has some great books that analyze the jazz idiom. They are short, to the point, and well respected.
