My speakers are crap, but thats not quite PJ is it. Certainly is severed

Not sure what they can do... the song is just different enough that they
can claim it's not Severed Hand.

Not PJ and a couple of notes off of Severed Hand... I'm quite sure they
didn't get permission...

PJ's lawyers can figure it out. I don't know what qualifies it as being
significantly different. If we can all tell it's a rip off, Pearl Jam
probably has a good case.

Once a song is recorded, any musician can release a cover version
without permission so long as he pays a royalty to the songwriter. Not
sure if the same applies to advertisements.
