Personally, I couldn't care less if Cornell's solo album is
commercially successful or not. His last solo album was brilliant and
anyone who says otherwise is simply un-American (err...I mean un-
French....doesn't Cornell live most of his days in Paris now?)
Anyway, 'Euphoria Morning' is an excellent album and if you haven't
given it a listen, then you should. Audioslave was alright, but they
simply sounded like RATM fronted by Cornell. Great if you're a huge
Rage fan but not so great if you enjoy the nuances of Chris Cornell's
songwriting. Most of the songwriting on Cornell's 'Euphoria Morning'
was done in collaboration with the songwriters from the group
'Eleven'...yes, unfortunately, the band most well-known for having
Jack Irons on the skins. You can hear their influences all over
'Euphoria Morning'. Check out Eleven's most recent album also for a
good listen.
