Amanita Muscaria mushrooms.. which are red and white and grow under pine
trees
overnight, even when it is not Christmas Eve,
and which are known to be eaten by reindeer..

feed on decaying pine needles:

http://www.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au/mount_t...anita_muscaria

"Here is a beautiful autumn scene from Bed 203 in our Garden. Fallen oak
leaves, pine needles, pine cones and this bright fungal fruiting body of
the Fly Agaric, Amanita muscaria."

This would not be the first time Floyd wrote lyrics speaking in the
first-person as if they were a plant, as you might know Gilmour does
this in 'Fat Old Sun' when he says, "roll me up and lay me down"
(probably something to do with the 'new mown grass' ?)

but Fat Old Sun and that inference is a bit sketchy,
whereas Amanita Muscaria absolutely feed on decaying pine needles, this
is basically their only food.

http://www.erowid.org/plants/amanita...history1.shtml

the photo on the above page, from a 13th century fresco, depicting this
mushroom as the Tree of Knowledge (blown up here):

http://www.erowid.org/plants/amanita...anita_art1.jpg

...probably did not escape the members of Pink Floyd all that easily, if
you know what I mean.. if you read my last 2 posts regarding some deeply
entrenched, ritualistic use of psychedelic plants and their ensuing
states of mind which Floyd clearly.. and most deliberately.. referred to
in their lyrics.. repeatedly, there are many more.

just a piece of their mind.. for those of you who can be bothered..

Food falls?? What a complete idiot you are. You have no idea what you are
going on about. It's funny watching you trying to make something out of
lyrics that are not even correct. You really should get some sort of help.

Have you seen the film, _More_?

the lyrics are correct, as is the lyric, "mushrooming home in a crowd, I
am alone" which Waters sings in the acoustic, early version (if you can
call it that) of 'Breathe', on the album he did with Ron Geesin.

You are one of the most embarrassingly ignorant people I have ever
encountered.

but I know that no matter what you say, you are actually thriving on
what you are learning from this, and just trying to deflect from this
with your outward lashings of stupidity.

So I'm trying to be cool and keep giving it to you, even if you pretend
you're ignoring me.. since, if nothing else, the more I do, the more you
and other people will see here that I'm a guy who has done a lot of
homework on this.. Floyd-thang

lol

now go get a girlfriend and come back when you're not jerking off in the
wind, you might find something meaningful to say.

I forgot to educate you on Floyd lyrics......

We smile and smile
We smile and smile
Laughter echoes in your eyes

We climb and climb
We climb and climb
Foot falls softly in the pines

We cry and cry
We cry and cry
Sadness passes in a while

We roll and roll
We roll and roll
Help me roll away the stone

Have you seen the film, _More_?

The ENTIRE FILM is about drugs

and specifically, about a couple having to resort to LSD to overcome
their heroin addiction, because nothing else was working to get them off
of it.. and LSD worked ..for a while.. and then mysteriously, they were
back on heroin, leaving the viewer with the specific feeling, "Hey
wait.. what happened to the doing-LSD and everything was going well?"

and then, after feeling that, it seemed easy to feel that the writer was
kind of replying, "YEah, what DID ever happen with that??", and that was
the message of the film.

That's not reading into things, you should see it before you reply,
since it is painfully obvious that you haven't, and don't even think
such a thing possible lol

those lyrics are correct, as is the lyric, "mushrooming home in a crowd, I
am alone" which Waters sings in the acoustic, early version (if you can
call it that) of 'Breathe', on the album he did with Ron Geesin.

you are one of the most embarrassingly ignorant people I have ever
encountered.

I hope you argue this one and find yourself REALLY embarrassed, as it,
like the Wall, pertains specifically to you:

The lyric, tho writte, "and you know you're nobody's fool"
actually says, "and you know you're nobody, fool".

tho, also unlike the way "Us and Them" is oficially written, "It CAN be
helped.."

but I know that no matter what you say, you are actually thriving on
what you are learning from this, and just trying to deflect from this
with your outward lashings of stupidity.

So I'm trying to be cool and keep giving it to you, even if you pretend

On RW's KAOS tour he sang the words to the Wall like this. * I stand on a
wall that is about to explode*

This is where you are wrong again. Here at AMPF most of the people have me
in the KF and by now you as well. So you are reaching far less people than
you dream about.

You're the fool, that is not what they say.

and, like "It CAN'T be helped, BUT there's a lot of it about"

it doesn't make any sense.

Your foot doesn't fall if you're climbing, idiot,

and "can't be helped BUT there's a lot of it about" is not grammatically
correct,

it would only make sense to reverse one:

"It CAN be helped, but there's a lot of it about"
"It can't be helped, AND SO there's a lot of it about

In other words, you are a blind sheep, a consumer, and "things are not
what they seem"

or

"you know you're nobody, fool",

...also what they say, not what the corporations wrote that they said..
or what they told them to write, to be slick, and make a total ass of
people like you, which you're seriously helping them do right now.

Use your ears. Listen to it again, like the other 3 examples I gave you.

They say, "It CAN be helped, but there's a lot of it about"

...much in keeping with what I say they're into with Paradise Lost, this
flipping who's the angel and who's satan -thing they love to do
hey all the fucking Beatles could come up with is some shit about how
'Paul is Dead" clues being scattered about, Floyd had their fun but it
was more ..trippy, the way they flipped things, the way they ridicule
people ..like you, who don't get it, to make those of us who do get it
laugh.

"Have you got it yet" ??

Use your ears. Listen to it again, like the other 3 examples I gave you.

They say, "You know you're NOBODY, fool"
They say, "It CAN be helped, but there's a lot of it about"

...much in keeping with what they're into with _Paradise Lost_, this
flipping who's the angel and who's satan -thing they love to do
hey all the fucking Beatles could come up with is some shit about how
'Paul is Dead" clues being scattered about, Floyd had their fun but it
was more ..trippy, the way they flipped things, the way they ridicule
people like you who don't get it, to make those of us who do get it
laugh.

"Have you got it yet" ?

Oh but to answer your question lol.. Amanita Muscaria mushrooms.. see
pine needles falling as food
remember man, this is a song in a film whose main topic is 'drug use',
and the song itself has a reference to "Roll Away the Stone", about a
serious hashish cult

The basic point you should also really consider, is that it might just
not be likely that people like Floyd, doing what they were doing, and a
lot of it at the time, were not thinking of these things if _I'm_
thinking about them, as I just _probably not_ have not done as much acid
as they have.. nor do I 'think too much' more than they thought too
much, when they were riding the wave they were riding and knew that
teenagers everywhere were doing acid and 'tripping to Pink Floyd albums'

You can say what you like, but really, people know about these things,
it is not conjecture

...the house band for London's most notorious underground acid-club (UFO)..

This is where they came from, they left many clues and cool things
behind that are just educating, or at least mind-expanding lol ..to
research a bit of.

They were not like these British, beer-drinking ..jock-stars, you know,
they were exceptionally intelligent and well read people, especially for
