...all time and why? In your answer please supply the track title, the artist and the reason why you consider the song to be the best of all time.10 points to the one that can supply all three bits of info (Not necessarily the first to do so!).

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen - "A Night At The Opera" album. It has so many styles of music, it may be nearly 6 minutes in length but because it changes, it doesn't feel long. Freddie Mercury's voice is haunting and everyone has done the "Wayne's World" thing in their cars at some point. It is a song that can never be played in the background, you will always focus in on it. And above all else, nothing comes close to sounding like it.

"Good Vibrations"- The Beach Boys. I like the Beach Boys for the most part, but this song just transcends everything they ever did. The cello, the harmony, the theremin(!). Utter pop brilliance. This song's been givin me excitations since I was 4 years old and I will always love it.

I don't believe in "bests", but "Nature Boy" has stood the test of time. Hundreds of people have recorded that song, including David Bowie and Massive Attack as well as many jazz greats--even Nat King Cole. So, as a song, it holds up in terms of its timeless appeal and versatililty in translating to many styles. There are lots of instrumental versions of it, too.
