I recently bought Magia and Peligro, and I realize she was very young when she recorded them, but between the both albums....I prefer Peligro!

I like Peligro the best of her earlier work. But I prefer the internationally published album Pies Descalzos to both of them.

I've never heard either of these albums. Is her sound very different on the earlier records?

Try them both but I like Peligro the better. The sound is more raw and innocent than Shakira's later albums with all that studio production going on.

I think Shakira said she's almost embarrassed by her earlier work. To the point she wished she could eliminate all copies of those records out there. So maybe you shouldn't listen to them, afterall?
