Is classical music superior to pop music? - 01-13-2008, 12:13 PM

I almost lost a friend a year ago when I said that pop music listeners are less cultured than classical listeners. The guy was pretty mad. Since then, I have been listening to pop music by various artistes. I try to remind myself that no one type is better, they're just different, but still find that classical music is superior. Whats you said about that.

Exactly
There are people that listen to a variety of music and you can pick on a particular audience but there there are people within that audience that are "outside the box". But besides that, " I don't know".

I don't think one type of music is superior to the other...It just depends on taste

I just had another thought on this....classical music was once pop music so keep that in mind that all music is relative.

I also like pop music but it does not mean that pop music is superior then classical. It depends upon the choice of the audience.Separately both are good. For your question i think the answers could be different according to the choice of the person.
